HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Throughout the entire Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, the No. 4 Arizona State women's golf team remained among the top three teams in an impressive field which featured five of the Golfweek top-10 and 10 of the top-25, ultimately earning a third-place finish.

"Although we left a few shots out there, I'm pleased with our third-place finish in a very strong field on a very hard golf course with very windy conditions," said head coach Missy Farr-Kaye.

As a team, it was the Sun Devils' fourth top-five finish in six tournaments and third straight top-three finish.

Individually, Linnea Strom (-1) and Sophia Zeeb (E) finished in second and third, respectively, marking not only the first top five finishes for ASU this season but also the first time the team has had multiple top five finishers. For Strom, it was her second of five tournaments this season finishing under par for the entire tournament.

"Linnea's second place and Sophia's third place finishes were fantastic and I'm very happy with how they held it together after a few unlucky shots."

Olivia Mehaffey (T21) also finished in the top-25 while Roberta Liti (T38) and Madison Kerley (T43) finished in the top half of a strong field of competitors.

"Olivia, Madison, and Roberta all contributed as well and played solid. It was great to play back east with some different teams and different conditions."

No. 5 Alabama (+7) took the team title followed by No. 12 Duke (+9) just ahead of the Sun Devils in third (+13).

The Sun Devils have two weeks before competing at the Clover Cup (Mar. 17-19) in Mesa, Ariz.
