ASU trailed often and very late, but found another gear later as Torian Graham hit big shots down the stretch and the Sun Devils got stops to beat Stanford 75-69 on Saturday for its third straight win over the Cardinal, its best since a five-game streak from 1992-94.

The Sun Devils went on a 12-2 run in the final 1:16 that started with a Graham three-pointer. Stanford had the ball up 67-63 twice, but a Kodi Justice block and a missed three allowed Graham to bring it to 67-66. His next three-pointer and ASU free throws late won the game as ASU trailed by nine in the final 10 minutes. ASU swept Stanford for the first time since 2009-10 as four of the five starters scored in double figures.

In the final 37 seconds, everything changed for the Sun Devils when Graham nailed the three pointer to cut the lead to 69-68.

"It was an amazing finish, I'm so proud of my team," said head coach Bobby Hurley. "The courage, the heart that they showed when we were down 56-47 to overcome that deficit with great defense. We had good defense and things worked out."

QUOTING STANFORD COACH JAROD HAASE
"
I thought we did some nice things in the second half to build up the lead, but they have a lot of offensive firepower. That showed in the second half making some tough threes down the stretch and at no point do I think our guys became comfortable or complacent.  Some good players made some big-time plays. Their guys made more impressive plays and big-time plays that our team was not able to make. We made some mental errors, but at the same time you have to give credit to guys that make 25 footers over a hand and they were able to do that.

JAROD HAASE ON THE ZONE DEFENSE
"At times, we went back and forth consistently throughout the game and there were some positives to our zone, but at the end of the game we were in man trying to make sure we weren't fouling but we were going to contest all threes, but it didn't go well enough."
