APPLICATION FORMS: PROFESSIONAL GUIDES l STUDENT-ATHLETES
The Sun Devil Academic, Career, Entrepreneurial, & Sports (ACES) Program aims to connect student-athletes to professional guides so they may gain perspective, tangible transferrable skills, and support on their journeys through college to career. Students and professional guides are matched based on the student's interest in career track and industry. Professional guides will serve as advisors and mentors to the student-athletes, helping them to network, develop connections, and secure employment.
What To Expect:
Student-athletes and guides will be paired in December of their sophomore or junior year for monthly meetings throughout the program.
Guides will assist student-athletes through 15-month partnership in three phases:
- Phase I January – July: Internship readiness and placement
- Goal: jointly identify and secure summer internship
- Phase II August – December: Job search and interview
- Goal: jointly research, prep, and secure full time employment opportunity prior to graduation
- Phase III January – August: Career readiness and success
- Goal: discuss the realities of the professional world after college (financial awareness, networking, work culture, etc.)
