Season ticket renewals have started for the 2016-17 Sun Devil women’s basketball campaign as fans have until July 28 to renew and receive loyalty pricing and guarantee the same seats as last season.
The Sun Devils return three senior starters – posts Sophie Brunner, Quinn Dornstauder and Kelsey Moos – from the 2015-16 squad that captured a share of the Pac-12 regular season title, won 26 games (tied for third-highest win total in program history) and went on to earn a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, the highest placement in program history.
2016 Pac-12 Head Coach of the Year Charli Turner Thorne, who has led the Sun Devils to the postseason 16 of the last 17 years (including 11 NCAA Tournament appearances), returns for her 20th season. In addition to the aforementioned senior starters, Turner Thorne will also welcome a five-member freshman class – Sydney Goodson, Reili Richardson, Jamie Ruden, Kiara Russell and Robbi Ryan – that was ranked among the nation’s top 10 signing classes when it was announced last fall.
In 2016-17 the Sun Devils will look to maintain the outstanding track record of success they have established at Wells Fargo Arena where they have won 88 percent of their games (44-6 record) the last three seasons.
