LAS VEGAS - The No. 6 Arizona State men’s golf team finished in a tie for fourth place in the Southern Highlands Collegiate and was led by senior Jon Rahm, who placed in a tie for fifth at the par-72, 7374-yard Southern Highlands Golf Club.
Arizona State entered the day in second place at three-over par and shot a 15-over 303 to finish in a tie with Texas at 18-over 882.
Rahm, the World Amateur No. 1, shot a 6-over 78 on the final day to finish at an even par 216. He has yet to finish outside of the top-10 in seven tournament appearances over the course of the 2015-16 season.
Junior Jared duToit shot a three-over 75 to tie for 19th with a five-over 221, and seniors Alberto Sanchez and Max Rottluff both tied for 42nd with a nine-over 225 as Sanchez carded a six-over 78 and Rottluff a two-over 74. Junior Ki Taek Lee rounded out ASU’s five with a four-over 76 and a 16-over 232.
The Sun Devils head to San Diego for the San Diego Intercollegiate March 14-15.
