EDINBORO, Pa.—Arizona State wrestling’s junior Dalton Brady (133 pounds), redshirt senior Josh DaSilveira (197 pounds), and senior Matt Kraus (149 pounds) won titles in their respective weight classes on Saturday at the Edinboro Open at the McComb Fieldhouse.

Brady opened the day with a pair of bonus-point victories, starting with a 24-9 tech fall over Navy’s John Lemmon before pinning Lock Haven’s Lewis Williams in 4:59. In the quarterfinals, Brady defeated EMU’s Noah Gonser, 8-3, before picking up a 5-2 decision over Edinboro’s Korbin Myers in the semifinals. In the finals, Ohio State’s Jose Rodriguez tied things up at 8-8 with a takedown in the third, but Brady prevailed in sudden victory with a needed takedown of his own for the 10-8 win.

Kraus also started his day with a pair of bonus-point wins, scoring a 21-4 tech fall over CSU’s Nick Montgomery before earning a 14-1 major decision over Princeton AWS’ Chace Piperato. In the quarterfinals, Kraus saw teammate Christian Pagdilao, and scored a takedown in the second tiebreaker to post the 5-3 decision. In the semifinals, Kraus earned the 2-0 shutout over West Virginia’s James Dekrone before he edged out CMU’s Colin Heffernan in the finals, 3-2.

Starting off in the round of 16, DaSilveira opened with a 21-5 tech fall over Edinboro’s Shawn Reynolds before he posted a 6-4 decision over Ohio State’s Kollin Moore in the quarterfinals.
