TEMPE, Ariz. – In the final Pac-12 home meet of the season, the Arizona State women’s gymnastics team posted three new event season highs Monday night in Wells Fargo Arena. The Gym Devils hit a 193.975, but fell short in the Territorial Cup match-up to the No. 25 Arizona Wildcats who scored a 196.375.

For the second consecutive week, the Gym Devils surpassed a 49 on floor, this time with a new season high 49.250. Senior Taylor Allex had a team high 9.925, while senior Allie Salas and freshman Corinne Belkoff both posted a set of 9.875s. These scores would match Belkoff’s career high and set a new career high for Salas. Freshman Justine Callis made a season debut on the floor, scoring a 9.725.

The Gym Devils saw multiple career and season highs on vault, scoring a team season high of 48.825. Allex posted another 9.900, tying her career high. Salas followed with a season high 9.850, and Belkoff with a career high 9.775. Senior Carissa Kraus’ 9.650 was her own season high.

On beam the Gym Devils had a season high 48.650 with a career high 9.825 from junior Beka Conrad.  Freshman Katelyn Lentz tied her season high with a 9.825 as well.

On bars Salas posted a season high 9.750, with Kraus following with her own 9.750.  Callis made her debut on bars, scoring a 9.700.

Salas’ scores were good to give her the all-around victory, her first, at 39.100, while freshman Heather Udowitch stepped up for the Gym Devils, making her debut in the all-around competition, scoring a 37.425.

In the Territorial Cup Series, ASU continues to hold a lead against Arizona, 5.5 to 2.5.

Up next the Gym Devils travel to Los Angeles on Saturday, Feb. 27 where they will take on the No. 6 UCLA Bruins in the final Pac-12 competition of the regular season.  The meet will air on the Pac-12 Network at 2 p.m. MT.
