FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Arizona State track and field program may not have taken a full squad to the Mountain T's Invitational on Saturday, but they still made a statement taking first in six of the eight events they participated in.

"It was just what we hoped for," said head coach Greg Kraft. "It was a great tune-up for us here. It really started well in the 60's with Jasmine Gibbs getting down into the 7.4's and Isaiah Underwood bringing in a 6.69.

"It was a good day for the Sun Devils up in Flagstaff."

As Kraft said, senior Jasmine Gibbs put up her best time of the season with a 7.50 in the women's 60-meter dash. Her personal best is a 7.39 recorded in 2014.

Gibbs' teammate, junior Keyasia Tibbs, typically competes in the jumps but competed in her first 60-meter race and finished third with a time of 7.69.

Same goes for junior LaTroya Franklin, who regularly competes in the short sprints. Franklin ran in the 400-meter dash and took first with a time of 55.50, which is good enough for the fastest ASU time this season.

Freshman Sydney Mosley was another Sun Devil who earned first place, as she competed in the women's 60-meter hurdles. Her time of 8.46 was good enough for her new personal best this season.

The ASU women vaulters had quite an afternoon, turning in the 1-2-3 spots with leaps of 3.81 meters (12-06.00) by sophomores Kristiana Warth and Haleigh Fritts. The mark became Warth's personal best and Fritts' best jump of the season thus far.

On the men's side, redshirt senior Isaiah Underwood ran his best ever time in the 60-meter dash with a time 6.73. His previous best was a 6.79 last year with Louisiana Tech.

Freshman Brandon Hasson was another first-time participant, as he raced in the men's 400-meter dash and turned in a time of 50.17 -- good enough for the second-best ASU time this season.

In the jumps, redshirt junior Tim White continued to show his abilities at anything he competes in. White leapt to another first-place finish but this time in the high jump with a mark of 2.00 meters (6-06.75).

Freshman Mason Ford also turned in a mark of 2.00 meters for second place.

The Sun Devils turn around for one of their bigger meets of the year, as they travel to Lincoln, Nebraska for the 41st annual Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational on Feb. 5-6.
