Rahm who spent the day jockeying for first with teammate Max Rottluff, carded a final-round, three-under 63, finishing the tournament at six-under 210 (71-70-69). Sitting at five-under thru nine, Rahm and Rottluff sat tied atop the leaderboard at five-under par. Rahm followed two-consecutive bogeys on 11 and 12, with an eagle on par-5 13th. A birdie on 16 solidified Rahm’s first-place position for the remainder of the afternoon.
Rottluff who entered the day in second, vied for position at the top of the leaderboard for a better part of the round. The senior was one-over for the round thru nine before double-bogeying the 10th. Birdies on 12 and 13 moved Rottluff back to tied for first, but an additional double-bogey on the 15 moved him back to second. The All-American concluded play with a two-over 74, posting a tournament total 4-under 212 (68-70-74), earning him a second-place finish.
In total the tenth-ranked Sun Devil’s closed the 2015 fall season, with their third-consecutive second-place finish. Of the four events played thus far during the season, Tim Mickelson’s squad has placed third or better. The team posted a cumulative 5-over 869 (285-294-290), four shots off the winner, third-ranked University of Illinois.
Jared du Toit played well to close the event finishing the afternoon as just one of 17-of-75 players to post a round at even-par or better on the day. The junior carded an even-par 72 for the round, and closed the tournament tied for 28th at seven-over. Alberto Sanchez closed at nine-over par, tied for 37th.

The Sun Devils will take a three-month hiatus from tournament-play in preparation for the 2016 spring season. The team will open 2016 Feb. 4-6 at the Waikoloa Invitational, in Waikoloa, Hawaii.
QUICK RECAP OF THE FALL SEASON...
-- Led by a late charge from senior Jon Rahm, the Arizona State men’s golf team closed play at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational (Oct. 18-19) tied for second, carding a cumulative 11-under 273, finishing the tournament at 33-under 819 (277-269-273). Rahm finished tied for second at 16-under. Jared du Toit posted his first top-10 finish as a Sun Devil closing at 10-under, tied for eighth.
-- After entering the final round of play at the Jackrabbit/South Dakota State (Sep. 26-28) in sixth-place the Arizona State managed to finish second in a field of 14 teams carding a seven-under par 281. Collectively the Sun Devils posted a three-day total 1-over 865 (304-280-281). Senior Alberto Sanchez led the way for the Sun Devils closing the tournament with a 4-under 72, finishing at 3-under 218 (76-69-68), four shots off the individual medalist. Jon Rahm closed the event at 2-under par 214 (75-69-70) finishing in 10th place.
-- Sun Devil senior Alberto Sanchez notched a third-place finish helping to lead the Arizona State men’s golf team to a third-place in the Fighting Illini/Olympia Fields Invitational (Sep. 18-20) held at Olympia Fields Country Club in Chicago, Illinois. Sanchez closed the tournament with a 1-under 69 to finish at 3-under 207, four behind individual medalist Maverick McNealey of Stanford. Sanchez’s third-place finish marks his best finish as a Sun Devil as well as the senior’s second career top-5 finish.
