VALENTINE, NE. -- After coming out of the gates slow in round one of the Jackrabbit/South Dakota State Invitational the Arizona State men’s golf excelled in day two posting a cumulative eight-under par 280 moving the Sun Devils to sixth-place. Three Sun Devils including Jon Rahm, Alberto Sanchez, and Jared du Toit finished the round under par.
Senior Jon Rahm carded a 3-under 69 notching seven birdies on the round. The World No. 1 Amateur is currently tied for ninth six shots off the lead and aims to notch his 23rd top-10 finish as a Sun Devil.
Sun Devil swinger Alberto Sanchez continues to impress and posted a three-under par 69. The senior posted four birdies to one bogey on the round. Sanchez along with Sun Devil newcomer Jared du Toit who also finished the day with a 3-under par 69, are tied for 12th.
The Sun Devils will look to continue to rise up the leaderboard tomorrow with third round action slated to begin at 6 a.m. MST. Live scoring will once again be provided by Golfstat.com.
