Eugene, Ore. -- Newest Sun Devil Men’s golfer Jared du Toit had a solid showing in the 49th Pacific Coast Amateur held at Eugene Country Club, in Eugene, Oregon this past week, notching a sixth place finish, shooting a 72-hole total of one-over-par.
Du Toit a transfer from the University of Idaho, posted rounds of 68, 73, 71, and 68 respectively on the par-70 Eugene Country Club.
The British Columbia native continues to have a successful summer season, having won the 113th British Columbia Amateur Championship in July. Du Toit won the championship in convincing fashion logging a 10-under 278, 72- hole total, seven strokes ahead of the second-place finisher.
Du Toit who will have two years of eligibility as a Sun Devil, further bolsters a 2015-16 roster that already includes reigning Ben Hogan Award honoree and World Amateur No. 1 Jon Rahm and Max Rottluff (World No. 27 Amateur) a three-time winner during the 2014-15 season.
