Head coach Tim Mickelson and the Sun Devil men's golf team are excited to announce the addition of transfer and 2015 British Columbia Amateur Champion Jared du Toit for the 2015-16 season.

“Jared is an outstanding player who will add immediate depth to our starting lineup,” says coach Tim Mickelson. “We are fortunate he decided to join the Sun Devil Golf family. With all of our top players returning and the addition of Jared, it’s going to be a very exciting year. We are all very excited to get started.”

Du Toit, a transfer from the University of Idaho, saw action in 11 tournaments for the Vandals as a true freshman during the 2013-14 season, logging three top-10 finishes including a second-place finish at the Phoenix Desert Classic in Goodyear, Ariz. His efforts were enough to earn him first-team all-Western Athletic Conference and Freshman of the Year.

The right-hander had an even better sophomore campaign leading the Vandals in scoring (69.61) and posting three victories, including a first-place finish at the Big Sky Conference Championship. Du Toit was recently ranked by Golfweek as the No. 79 collegiate golfer in the nation.

The addition of du Toit further bolsters a roster that already includes reigning Ben Hogan Award honoree and World Amateur No. 1 Jon Rahm and Max Rottluff (World No. 27 Amateur) a three-time winner during the 2014-15 season. ?
