The Sun Devil Athletics Caravan kicked off its 2015 tour with a trip to Tucson, Ariz., on Tuesday, the first of six stops the Caravan will be making this year.
Headlining the trip to Tucson were Vice President for University Athletics and Athletics Director Ray Anderson, new Sun Devil men’s basketball head coach Bobby Hurley and wrestling coach Zeke Jones.
The day’s festivities started with a Sparky’s Tour presentation in Eloy and was followed by a trip to Gap Ministries where Sun Devil student-athletes, coaches, administrators, band members and members of the 942 Crew participated in a pair of service projects.
The Caravan then made its way to El Saguarito in Tucson where ASU Alumni and fans came out in big numbers to connect one-on-one with the Caravan’s participants. Jones, Hurley and Anderson all spoke to the Sun Devil faithful who were in attendance.
The Caravan’s final stop was Hi-Corbett Field for the Sun Devil baseball team’s contest against Arizona.
