EUGENE, Ore. - The 14th-ranked Arizona State baseball team dropped game two of its doubleheader with No. 23 Oregon, 3-1, on Saturday at PK Park in Eugene, Ore.

Joey DeMichele hit a solo home run to right field in the top of the ninth inning to cut the Ducks' deficit to two, but the Devils (16-11, 3-5) were unable to complete the late-game rally.

Kasey Coffman collected his third multi-hit game of the season with a pair of singles and Deven Marrero added a double.

Right-hander Trevor Williams (5-2) went seven innings and took the loss, striking out four while surrendering three earned runs on six hits.

The Ducks (17-8, 5-3) took a one-run lead in the bottom of the second inning on a solo home run to left field.

Williams, who threw three perfect innings in the game, was able to escape the bottom of the sixth frame unscathed after the Ducks put runners on first and second with one out.

Oregon added a pair of runs in the bottom of the seventh on a solo home run and an RBI double to extend their advantage, 3-0.

ASU secured consecutive base hits with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, but a double play in the next at-bat ended the frame for the Devils.

Oregon right-hander Jake Reed (2-2) earned the win after allowing no runs on five hits in seven and 1/3 innings.

Right-hander Robert Ravago took the mound in relief for ASU and pitched a perfect eighth inning.

The Sun Devils are set to finish their three-game series against the Ducks on Sunday at PK Park in Eugene. First pitch is set for 12 p.m. (PT) with Tim Healey and Seth Dhaenens on the call for KDUS The Fan Am 1060.
