AUSTIN, Texas--The 10th-ranked Arizona State women's golf team finished in fourth place at the 39th Annual Betsy Rawls Invitational, hosted by the University of Texas, Tuesday, in Austin, Texas. The Sun Devils shot a three round total of 869 (290-286-293), six shots off tournament champion Florida.
Sophomore Noemi Jimenez and junior Laura Blanco each tied for seventh place overall finishing with a 56-hole total of 1-under 215. Jimenez shot the low round of 1-under 71 on the last day of competition for Arizona State. The sophomore carded two birdies to help secure the Sun Devils' fourth-place finish.
The top-four competitors in the tournament separated themselves from the rest of the field with the fifth place team finishing 14-shots back of Arizona State.
Texas' Longhorn Network will be airing abbreviated broadcasts of the tournament on Thurs. Nov. 8, with Part I airing at 1 p.m. and Part II airing at 9 p.m., including an interview with associate head coach Missy Farr-Kaye discussing her advocacy for the fight against breast cancer.
