TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State University baseball team lost 7-0 to UCLA on Saturday at Winkles Field-Packard Stadium at Brock Ballpark. The loss drops the Sun Devils to 38-16 overall, 16-10 in the Pac-10, on the season.

UCLA starting pitcher Trevor Bauer threw his eighth consecutive complete game, allowing just five hits while striking out 14 to earn the win and improve to 12-2 on the season. Kramer Champlin gave up 10 hits and seven runs (six earned) with eight strikeouts, taking the loss to drop to 8-3.

The Bruins jumped on the board quickly, scoring three runs in the first on an RBI double by Dean Espy and a two-run homer by Cody Regis. ASU put runners in scoring position in each of the first two innings, but Bauer escaped the jams both times.

UCLA added two more runs in the fifth and then capped off the scoring in the seventh with an Espy two-run homer. Espy was 4-for-4 with four RBI in the game.

Zack MacPhee had two of ASU's five hits in the loss.

The Sun Devils and Bruins will complete the three-game series on Sunday, with first pitch scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at Winkles Field-Packard Stadium at Brock Ballpark.
