PALO ALTO, Calif.--The fifth-ranked Arizona State women's golf team finished in seventh place at the 2011 Stanford Intercollegiate. The Sun Devils shot a three-round total of 8-over 860 (285-286-289) for the tournament. Pac-12 opponent UCLA took top honors in the event, shooting 10-under par.
Senior Giulia Molinaro paced the Sun Devils over the three-day event, finishing tied for 14th overall. Molinaro shot a three-round total of 1-under 212 (69-71-72) for her third-consecutive top-15 finish of the season.
Sophomore Justine Lee finished in a tie for 25th after shooting a three-day total of 2-over 215 (70-74-71). Lee's even-par 71 in the third round was the low score of the day for the Sun Devils.
Next up, ASU travels to Knoxville, Tenn. to compete in the first-ever SEC/Pac-12 Challenge. Currently seven of the top-10 ranked schools, according to Golfweek, are from both the SEC and Pac-12 conferences.
