CORVALLIS, Ore. – Eight hits with two from Lesley Rogers and Mandy Urfer helped seal the deal Friday afternoon as the seventh-ranked ASU Softball team rolled off a 4-3 win over Oregon State. Hillary Bach moves to 22-4 on the season as ASU improves to 40-11 and 9-7 in conference play as OSU drops to 22-28 overall and 2-14 in Pac-10 play.

Righty ace Hillary Bach took to the circle for ASU entering with a 21-4 record against Marina Demore with a 1-2 record. It seemed to be a dark foreboding night for the Sun Devils as the Beavers were able to post three runs on ASU in the third inning as Marina Demore went yard to bring three home and take a definitive three run lead.

But the ASU offense was feeling chipper though as they put two runs on the board in the third as Rogers got the party started with a single up the middle. A n RBI single from Krista Donnenwith and an RBI knock from red-hot Mandy Urfer were able to put ASU back in the game as they ended the third inning down 3-2.

It looked glum for the Sun Devils through the rest of the outing even as Hillary Bach ensured a paltry outing for OSU the rest of the afternoon. But her frugal ways with OSU proved to be the difference for ASU as they put on their rally caps with Lockwood providing the two-out lightning with a double to left center to score a run before Mandy Urfer brought home the win with an RBI double to take the 4-3 win.

The Sun Devils face the Beavers again tomorrow at noon tomorrow in Corvallis at Oregon State.
