TEMPE, Ariz.--The Arizona State women's tennis team opened their busy week with a 7-0 sweep over Memphis. The Sun Devils won all three doubles matches as well as each of the singles matches to improve their record to 7-2 (2-0 Pac-10).

The No. 2 doubles team of Hannah James and Kelcy McKenna was the first team off the court as they topped Amanda Brown and Andrea Arques-Garica 8-1. Micaela Hein and Nadia Abdala earned an 8-3 victory over Ashley Murdock and Marjorie Ondeck while Michelle Brycki and Ashlee Brown pulled out an 8-4 victory on court three.

In singles, Pac-10 Player of the Week Hein settled into the No. 1 spot nicely as she handed Murdock a 6-0, 6-1 sweep. McKenna was the next one off the court, earning a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Ondeck. In the No. 5 slot, Sianna Simmon took down Arques-Garcia in straight sets to win 6-1, 6-1.

James was the fourth Sun Devil off the court as she earned a 6-4, 6-0 victory. Abdala won the tie-breaker 10-6 to pick up a 6-0, 1-6, 10-6 win in the No. 2 position. Nicole Smith earned the first singles victory of her collegiate career as she downed Kelly Gray 7-5, 1-6, 10-6.

The Sun Devils host Oregon on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and USC on Saturday at noon. Oregon's match will count in Pac-10 standings but USC's will not.
