SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - The Arizona State University cross country team competed at the NCAA West Region Championships at the Springfield Country Club in Springfield, Ore., on Saturday morning where the Sun Devil men placed fifth overall and the women 13th in the qualifying meet for the NCAA Championships. Individually, Ben Engelhardt led the charge for the men as he placed 13th overall in 30:21.4 to earn all-region honors while the top women in the race for ASU was Lindsay Prescott, who finished 37th in 21:03.1.

In the team standings, No. 3 Oregon (63) and No. 2 Stanford (65) were the region’s automatic qualifiers to the national meet and were followed in the Top 5 by No. 22 Stanford (78), No. 13 Portland (131) and ASU (179).
