Second round results in PDF Format
Stillwater, Okla.- The ninth-ranked men's golf team shot a 19-over par 307 at the PING/Golfweek Preview for the second consecutive day, but still fell two spots to 11th place with a 38-over par 614 (307-307). Junior Philip Francis fired a 1-over par 73, the best round of the day for the Sun Devils, and is tops on the team with a 6-over par 150 (77-73), good enough to tie for 26th.
Senior James Byrne is tied for 36th with an 8-over par 152 (74-78) after shooting a 6-over par 78, and senior Jesper Kennegard recorded a 5-over par 77 and is in a tie for 60th with a 15-over par 159 (82-77). Junior Scott Pinckney, who entered the day tied for eighth overall, withdrew with a rib injury prior to the round.
Defending tournament-champion Oklahoma State remains in first place with an 8-over par 584 (288-296), while Georgia Tech (298-287) and Georgia (300-285) each sit one stroke back at 9-over par 585. UCLA is in fourth with an 11-over par 587 (300-287), Oregon shot a 23-over par 599 (300-299) to take seventh and USC is in 15th with a 60-over par 636 (331-305).
