Bryson Krueger scored 17 points and Bruno Claudino added 16 off the bench in leading Arizona State past the University of Alberta 85-54 Monday in exhibition play.
Allen Morill added 15 points on 5-of-5 shooting for the Sun Devils, who won both of their exhibition games in preparation for their season opener Nov. 23 at home against Southern Utah. Claudino, a junior college transfer from Southern Idaho, made 7-of-9 from the field and grabbed five rebounds in 26 minutes.
The Sun Devils made six of their first eight shots and Alberta missed its first five in falling behind 14-0. Arizona State ran out to a 28-5 lead after the Bears missed 14 of their first 16 shots in the first 13 minutes of the game.
Arizona State led by as much as 28 in the first half and 36 in the game. It held Alberta to 7 of 27 from the field in the first half.
