TEMPE, Ariz. - Eddie House scored 28 points, and Tanner Shell had 14 of his 17 points in the second half as Arizona State outlasted Southern California for a 93-81 victory Saturday night.

The win was the fourth straight and sixth in their last seven games for the Sun Devils (16-9, 8-5 Pac-10), who extended USC's losing streak to five in a row.

Shawn Redhage had 14 points and Chad Prewitt had 12 and 10 rebounds in the winning effort.

Brandon Glanville led USC with 22 points, seven in the second half, when Arizona State overcame a 39-38 deficit to lead the final 17 minutes. David Blumenthal had 19 points and 12 rebounds, and Brian Scalabrine scored 17 points for the Trojans (13-11, 6-6).

It was the first game in five that Scalabrine's failed to score at least 20.

The Sun Devils got the lead at 44-43 on two free throws by House 2:58 into the half - part of a 12-0 run during which Redhage and Prewitt had three-point plays. When it was over, the Sun Devils had a 52-43 lead with 15:53 remaining.

The closest the Trojans got after that was 57-54 on two free throws by Nate Hair with 10:58 to play. But Shell hit a 3-pointer 19 seconds later, starting a 12-4 surge that he capped with a 13-foot bank shot after a no-look pass from House, who had five assists and eight rebounds.

Arizona State led 69-58 with 7:52 to go after its second surge, and the Trojans never got closer than six points again.

Glanville made three 3-pointers in the first 7:43, shooting the Trojans into a 22-12 lead.

But center Konstantinos Charissis got in foul trouble, and the Sun Devils caught up, taking their first lead at 25-24 on a jumper by House with 8:22 remaining.
