TEMPE, Ariz. -- It lasted until midway through the second overtime period, but Arizona State's junior All-American Stacey Tullock sealed arguably the biggest win in ASU history as the Sun Devils (13-5-1, 4-4-0 Pac-10) defeated fifth-ranked UCLA (14-3-1, 5-2-1 Pac-10), 1-0 tonight at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium.

It was a defensive battle for the first period as UCLA outshot Arizona State 6-2. The Bruins then tallied 10 shot in the second period, but could not get a shot by goalkeeper Erin Reinke.

It looked like the game was heading for a tie, until a loose ball scramble 10 yards in front of the box enabled Tullock to pop the ball over Bruin's goalkeeper CiCi Peterson as she came out to try and block the shot.

Sophomore Holly Cohen was credited with the assist as she slid the ball into traffic for Tullock. The game-winner was the sixth this year for Tullock, a single-season record at Arizona State.

Overall, UCLA outshot ASU 18-4 and posted 11 corner kicks to ASU's two. The win also marked the first time ASU has defeated the Bruins.

Up next, Arizona State will look to keep its postseason hopes alive and end the regular season as the 16th-ranked USC Trojans come to Tempe on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
