TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State women's soccer team increased their winning streak to six games after defeating the University of Wyoming, 5-1, Friday night at the Sun Devil Soccer Stadium.
The Sun Devils (7-2) received goals from four different players including junior Heather Irwin's first career goal in the 42nd minute. Irwin scored when the ball was centered and just out of reach of Wyoming's goalkeeper Amanda Vandervort. Karine Inoue recorded her fourth goal of the season in the 62nd minute when Vandervolt was caught out of the net. Inoue scored from 10 yards out. Antoinette Marjanovic added a goal and two assists. The goal coming in the 64th minute, 10-yards out from the right side of the box. Stacey Tullock had another superb night tallying two goals and two assists, her fourth multi-goal game of the season. Her first goal, the first of the game, came in the 32nd minute from the left side of the box, 10 yards out. Then, in the 88th minute, Jaclyn Clark found Tullock breaking behind the Wyoming defense, when Tullock blasted a 10-yard shot to finish the scoring.
Wyoming's Kelly McShane, in the 43rd minute, recorded the only goal for the Cowgirls who fell to 2-7-1 on the season.
The Sun Devils head to Los Angeles next weekend to take on No. 9 UCLA and No. 7 USC.
