SUN DEVIL DATA Measures over 7-1 in socks and has a 7-4 wingspan after arriving from a LDS Mission in Miami in May of 2010. Saw action in 24 games in rookie season and showed flashes of being a solid Pac-10 big man down the road and then his final 13 games from 2011-12 gives a ton of hope and promise for 2012 and beyond. Southpaw turns 23 in September of 2012. Was planning to play senior season at Findlay Prep near Las Vegas but an ankle injury altered the plans. Research has found no Sun Devil taller in ASU basketball history. Fluent in Spanish and a huge soccer fan and a reader of Gandhi. Wife Malia played volleyball at ASU. Mother Yolanda also was a solid hooper. Brother Dallin played for Southern Utah in 2009-10, went on LDS mission in Croatia and will suit up for Utah. Sister Jessica also is a very good player and played at the 2010 Canada Basketball National Championships in Toronto. Just 11 days younger than 2009 ASU All-American and current NBA rising star James Harden.
JORDAN'S IMPROVEMENTS In 2011-12 as a sophomore Jordan scored a career-high 20 in Feb. 2 game at Stanford and had 19 vs. USC on Feb. 26, and if you take a look at the final 13 games his improvement was solid as all of his stats compared to the first 18 games are off-the-chart good. One area of improvement is free throw shooting. He entered the Stanford Feb. 2 game 20-of-50 (.400) for the season and 40-of-90 (.444) in his career, but was 10-of-12 (.833) in that game. He had seven double-figure scoring games in those 13 games. Another good note on his free throw improvement is that in his final 10 games, he was 33-of-47 (.702) at the charity stripe, in the first 21 games he was 20-of-50 (.400).
