The criteria for being a football Scholar Baller® is achieving a 3.0 GPA in Fall, Spring or Cumulatively or outstanding academic improvement. Scholar Baller® is a national program that began at ASU, with the ASU football team being the first in NCAA history to wear a patch on the jersey acknowledging academic prowess, in 2003.
