GAME 34: BUFFALO 91, ASU 74/MAR.22, 2019: The Sun Devils 2018-2019 season came to an end when No. 11 ASU fell to No. 6 Buffalo in the second round of the NCAA tournament. In his final game in maroon & gold, Zylan Cheatham poured in a game-high 22 points while Romelo White and Luguentz Dort each added 12. Arizona State led 14-13 at the 12:02 mark in the first half, but Buffalo would take over at this point and head into locker room up 44-31. The Bulls did not look back after this, outrebounding ASU 42-26 in the game and holding the Sun Devil offense to 3-of-22 (.136) from the three-point line. ASU finished the year with a final record of 23-11, the second straight year the team has reached 20 wins and their best overall finish since they went 25-10 in 2008-2009.
GAME 33: ASU 74, ST. JOHN'S (NEW YORK) 65/MAR. 20, 2019: Bobby Hurley recorded his first NCAA tournament victory as head coach of Arizona State as the Sun Devils knocked off St. John's in the final First Four game of the tournament. Coming in as a No. 11 seed in the West region, ASU notched their first tournament win since 2009 behind the strength of Luguentz Dort's 21 points and Zylan Cheatham's 14th double-double of the season (14 points, 10 rebounds). As a team, the Sun Devils knocked down 54 percent of their shots in the first half, including 67 percent (4-6) from downtown. Despite some shooting troubles in the second half (35 percent total), the Sun Devils drilled 76 percent of their attempts at the free throw line, scoring 19 of their 36 second-half points from the stripe. GAME 32: OREGON 79, ASU 75 (OT)/MAR. 15, 2019: The Sun Devils came up just short in their attempt to advance to the championship game of the 2019 Pac-12 Tournament when they fell to the Oregon Ducks in an overtime heartbreaker in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both teams had four players notch double-digit point totals, with Pac-12 Freshman of the Year Luguentz Dort leading the way for ASU with 16 points, five rebounds and two assists. Rob Edwards would also add 15 points in the loss while Zylan Cheatham and Remy Martin both tallied 14 points for the Sun Devils. On the glass, ASU was outrebounded by Oregon 38-37. GAME 30: ASU 72, ARIZONA 64/MAR. 9, 2019: ASU shot .556 from the floor in the second half (11-of-25) and held Arizona to 6-of-22 (.273) from the three-point stripe and outscored the Wildcats 17-10 in final seven minutes for the win. Remy Martin had 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, while Lu Dort had 15 points and Zylan Cheatham 13 as ASU won in Tucson for the first time since 2010 and swept the Arizona series for the first time since 2008-09.

GAME 29: ASU 74, OREGON STATE 71/MAR. 3, 2019: ASU fell behind 37-30 at the half but came out with a 9-2 run to tie the game less than three minutes in, as from the 17:06 mark to 8:28 the lead was never bigger than four. OSU took a 61-56 lead with 8:28 remaining, but ASU outscored the Beavers 18-10 the rest of the way. ASU took the lead at 4:13, OSU cut it to three three times but ASU never gave it up. Lu Dort led the way with 12 points, Zylan Cheatham had 12 points and 10 rebounds and Remy Martin and Rob Edwards had 13 each as ASU swept the Beavers for the first time since 2009-10.

Remy Martin had 13 points and Rob Edwards 11, as the Sun Devils were just 6-of-23 (.261) from the field in the second half. ASU did not have a field goal in the final 7:11 and didn't score in the second half for nearly the first six minutes. GAME 9: #20 ASU 76, GEORGIA 74/DEC. 15, 2018: ASU fell behind 47-29 in the first half and trailed 47-33 at recess but led by Remy Martin's 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists stormed back for its biggest halftime comeback deficit win in a decade. Atlanta native Romello White was solid with 16 points while Zylan Cheatham had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Luguentz Dort (12 points) hit the game winner on a strong drive wih 11 seconds left as ASU held the Bulldogs to 9-of-25 (.360) from the field in the second half and forced 19 turnovers while notching 15 offensive rebounds. It marked the 16th time ASU had come back after being down at the half to win in Coach Bobby Hurley's four seasons.

GAME 4: ASU 72, #15 MISSISSIPPI STATE 67/NOV. 19, 2018 (LAS VEGAS): ASU got after it early as it led by 15 at the half behind 27-12 advantage on the boards and held MSU to just 10-of-33 from the floor, but MSU -- who won 25 games in 2017-18 -- fought back to tie it with 1:01 left. Kimani Lawrence (career-high 22 points and 9-of-14 shooting) buried a three with 29 seconds left and shot clock winding down, ASU got a stop and Remy Martin hit two free throws to seal it. ASU got 16 points from Martin (6-7 FTs, seven assists and no turnovers in 35 minutes), 12 points and nine boards from Zylan Cheatham and 17 points and nine boards from Luguentz Dort.

GAME 3: ASU 90, LONG BEACH STATE 58/NOV. 12, 2018: ASU took control early and in a game that had one tie and one lead change as six Sun Devils scored in double digits. ASU led 38-16 at the half and collected 63 rebounds, most in since it had 63 vs. Utah on Nov. 27, 2002. It held LBSU to just .274 from the field, ASU's best defensive effort since Feb. 11, 2010, when it help Oregon State to 14-of-47 (.246). Remy Martin had 15 points while Luguentz Dort had 12 points and 12 rebounds.

GAME 2: ASU 80, McNEESE STATE 52/NOV. 9, 2018: McNeese State jumped out to an 8-3 lead at the first media timeout, but Luguentz Dort (25 points), Zylan Cheatham (16 points, 12 rebounds and six assists) and Kimani Lawrence (16 points and six rebounds) led ASU to the win as the Sun Devils outscored the Cowboys 47-29 in the second half. ASU held McNeese State to .319 from the field (15-of-47) and the 52 points allowed is the fewest in the Coach Hurley era at Arizona State.

ASU topped topped 2018 Big West Champion Cal State Fullerton – and its four returning starters and high-scoring backcourt – 102-94 in double overtime in a Nov. 6 game that was as good as it looks on the box score. ASU’s 102 points was the most in an opener since it scored 111 vs. Jacksonville in 1996, as it placed five in double figures. Luguentz Dort’s 28 points is the most by a Sun Devil freshman in a debut, and the most by any Sun Devil in an opener since Jeremy Veal had 32 on Nov. 16, 1997. ASU had 20 offensive rebounds and placed all five starters in double digits in the earliest opening game in school history.
