Arizona State Swept by No. 18 Washington

SEATTLE, Wash. -- The 18th-ranked Washington Huskies volleyball team swept the Arizona State Sun Devils in straight games, 3-0, in tonight's Pac-10 matchup at Hec Edmundson Pavilion in Seattle, Washington. Game scores were 15-4, 15-6, 15-8.
The Huskies improve to 14-8 overall, 9-4 in the conference.
The Huskies out-hit the Sun Devils with 46 kills to ASU's 30. Arizona State only managed a .026 hitting percentage to Washington's .278.
Freshman Amanda Burbridge led the Devils with 10 kills. Junior Shawna Vanley added seven kills to the ASU effort. Middle blocker Kirstin Mattson had one block solo and five block assists on the evening.
Washington's Makare Desilets led all attackers with 12 kills and a .524 hitting percentage (12-1-21). She also added 11 digs and six total blocks on the night. Teammate Kristina Laffling added 10 kills and seven digs to the Husky effort.
Arizona State falls to 12-11 overall, 3-9 in conference play. ASU next hosts 4th-ranked Stanford on Friday, November 7 at 3 p.m. in the University Activity Center.
