Three ASU Volleyball Players Earn Pac-10 Honors

Three Arizona State volleyball players have earned Pacific-10 Conference volleyball honors for the 1997 season.

Arizona State outside hitter Terri Cox was named an honorable mention on the 1997 All-Pac-10 Volleyball team. Cox, a 5-7 senior from Long Beach, California, ends her career at ASU with over 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. She becomes only the seventh player in Devil history to record over 1,000 in each category. She has led the team in kills and digs for the past two years and was an All-Pac-10 selection last year as well. She leads to conference in digs per game and is ranked in the top 10 in kills per game this season.

Sun Devil freshman Amanda Burbridge was a 1997 Pac-10 All-Freshman selection. Burbridge, a 6-2 outside hitter from Scottsdale, Arizona, ranked third on the team this season in both kills (2.28 kpg) and digs (2.05 dpg) per game.

Sophomore middle blocker Laura Hibsman was a 1997 Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention selection. The 6-1 nursing major from Tucson, Arizona averaged 2.00 kills per game and 0.93 blocks per game.
