ASU Volleyball Makes Final Road Trip to Northwest
Sun Devils Take Final Conference Road Trip of The Season to Face Oregon State (11/14) and Oregon (11/15)

The Arizona State Sun Devils (12-13, 3-11 Pac-10), trying to snap a six-game conference losing streak, hit the road for their final road trip of the season to take on Oregon State on Friday, November 14, at 7 p.m. PDT and Oregon on Saturday, November 15, at 7 p.m. PDT. ASU's current six-match skid is its longest of the 1997 season.
ABOUT OREGON STATE
The Beavers are 14-13 overall, 5-9 in
conference action ... Heather Lowe (4.49 kpg and 2.30 dpg) and Pia Ahlengard
(3.93 kpg and 3.04 dpg) lead the OSU attack ... Oregon State is 2-3 in their
last five matches ... They are coached by Jeff Mozzochi (fifth season) ...
ASU last win over Oregon State came on October 2, 1995 in Tempe (3-0) ... the
Devils lead the all-time series with OSU, 17-7, however have lost the last four
meetings ... Oregon State defeated ASU earlier this season in Tempe, 3-1 (15-5,

The Ducks are 8-18 overall, 0-14 in Pac-10 play ...
They are led by Madeline Ernst (3.92 kpg and 2.15 dpg) and Tia Stewart (2.18
kpg and 1.01 bpg) ... Oregon is 0-5 in its last five matches ... They are
coached by Cathy Nelson (third season) ... The Devils won earlier this season

INJURY UPDATE
Starting setter Jolynn Faatulu, who went down in the
third game of the Oregon State match on 10/18 with an injury to her right
ankle, has been cleared to play for this weekend's matches with the Oregon
schools. The sophomore suffered an avulsion fracture to the ankle and was
sidelined for three weeks.
HEAD COACH SNYDER-PARK
Sun Devils head coach Patti Snyder-Park
enters her ninth season with the Arizona State volleyball program. She has
guided the Devils to four NCAA tournament appearances in the past five years
including a semifinal match appearance at the NCAA Mountain Regional in 1995.
Snyder-Park has taken ASU to post-season competition in five of her last eight
seasons and has posted a winning record in six of the last seven seasons. She
has a career record of 147-111 at Arizona State.
COX DOES IT ALL
Senior outside hitter Terri Cox looks to finish out
her remarkable career with style. Cox has grabbed MVP honors in two tournaments
this season (Sun Devil Challenge and Ladyjack Invit.) and was an all-tournament
selection at the Judy Bellomo Classic as well. Once again, she is leading the
squad in both kills (4.37 kpg) and digs (3.53 dpg). She has recorded a
double-double in 16 of 23 matches played this season. Cox has become the
seventh player in ASU history to record over 1,000 kills and digs in her
career.
MATTSON IN THE MIDDLE
Senior middle blocker Kirstin Mattson will
captain the squad this season along with teammate Jen Lucero. Mattson was named
to the all-tournament team at the Sun Devil Challenge in August. The 6-1 middle
leads the team in block solos with 28 and block assists (99) in 1997. Mattson
becomes the sixth Sun Devil to rack up over 100 solo blocks and 200 block
assists during her career.
TALK ABOUT TOUGH
The Sun Devils have faced a ranked opponent in 10
of its last 15 matches. ASU has played a ranked opponent in 11 of its 25
matches this season, including nine of 14 conference matches.
