STILLWATER, Okla. – The No. 27 Arizona State women’s tennis team is set to compete at the Oklahoma State Regional of the 2015 NCAA Team Championship this weekend, making their 28 consecutive postseason appearances.
“We are excited for the postseason to begin,” said ASU head coach Sheila McInerney on making her 28th consecutive postseason appearance. “It is a thrill for the team to be competing in the NCAA Championships."
The Oklahoma State Regional first and second round will take place on May 9-10 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The four teams to compete include: No. 27 Arizona State, host No. 12 Oklahoma State, No. 39 Arkansas and Boston University.
"We are looking forward to a great match against the University of Arkansas," said Coach Sheila McInerney. "We have never played them so it will be fun to compete against a very strong SEC team. It is a great time of the year and we are anxious to start on Saturday.”
For the first time in school history, Arizona State (15-7, 6-4 Pac-12) will face off against Arkansas (16-14) on Saturday, May 9 at 8 a.m. MT. The winner of round one will advance to face the winning team of Oklahoma State, Boston University match-up on Sunday, May 10 at 11 a.m. MT.
