TEMPE, Ariz. – The 25th-ranked Arizona State women’s tennis team (15-7, 6-4 Pac-12) earned the team’s 30th NCAA Team Championship bid, as the team heads to the Oklahoma State Regional, May 9-10 in Stillwater, Okla.
The Sun Devils face Arkansas (16-14) in the first round of competition for the first time in school history on Saturday, May 9 at 10 a.m. CT. The team to advance out of the first round will face with winner of the Oklahoma State (21-5), Boston University (14-7) match–up on Sunday, May 10 at 1 p.m. CT.
ASU tennis currently holds the active school record for consecutive postseason appearances with 28 under head coach Sheila McInerney.
The long-time head coach, who is in her 31st season leading the women’s tennis team, has led the Sun Devils to a total of 30 NCAA appearances.
