Lansdorp and Propstra Advance in ITA All-American
TEMPE, Ariz.-- ASU senior Reka Cseresnyes lost to the No. 8 seed of the tournament, Mirela Vladulescu of the University of Alabama Birmingham 7-5, 6-1. Cseresnyes defeated Amy Jensen of California yesterday marking the fourth Golden Bear that she has faced in her first six matches.
The Sun Devils' doubles team of Stephanie Lansdorp and Katy Propstra moved on to the doubles main draw semifinals after defeating fourth seeds Margie Lepsi and Manisha Malhorta of Tennessee in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. Lansdorp and Propstra, currently ranked sixth in the nation, defeated Lepsi and Malhorta who hold the fourth national ranking. The doubles semifinal matches will be played Saturday with the championship played on Sunday.
