Women's Soccer Falls to University of Washington

TEMPE, Ariz.-It wasn't a pleasant trip to Seattle for the Arizona State soccer team (8-5-0, 2-1-0 Pac-10) as they were blitz 5-1 by the University of Washington Huskies (6-8-0, 4-0-0 Pac-10) at Husky Soccer Field.

Sophomore forward Aisha Thomas scored the lone goal for ASU at the 65:47 mark when she broke through with a pass from freshman midfielder Antoinette Marjanovic and dribbled past the Husky goalkeeper.

Washington freshman Theresa Wagner scored a hat trick, including the first two goals for the Huskies to seal the win.

Sun Devil keeper Erin Reinke registered 11 saves, while UW keeper Leslie Weeks had only three. ASU was outshot 30-10.

Arizona State returns home next weekend to face Oregon State on Friday and Oregon on Sunday.
