Sun Devils Blank Beavers, 4-0
TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona State soccer team (9-5-0, 3-1-0 Pac-10) notched its fourth shutout of the season by defeating the Oregon State Beavers (2-11-1, 0-5-0 Pac-10), 4-0 Friday night at Sun Devil Soccer Field.
Freshman Karine Inoue tallied ASU's first goal at the 14:54 mark when she got behind the OSU defense after receiving a pass from Antoinette Marjanovic.
ASU scored again at the 31:15 point, when Kim Wagner took a corner kick and fed it to Jaclyn Clark who headed it pass the Beaver keeper.
Wagner again was involved on the Sun Devils third goal when she passed the ball behind the OSU defense to Marjanovic who lobbed it over the OSU keeper at the 47th minute.
Just one minute later, ASU's final tally came unassisted when sophomore Kerrie Kulak got the ball down the left side for a break away goal.
The Sun Devils outshot the Beavers 19-6.
Arizona State is back in action on Sunday at 11:00 a.m., when the Oregon Ducks come to Tempe.
