ASU Heads South for Golf World

The Arizona State women's golf team, ranked No.5 in the latest MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings, wrap up their fall tournament schedule with the GolfWorld/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate, in Hilton Head, South Carolina at the Palmetto Hall Golf Course. The course is a par 72 (6,257 yards). Teams will begin teeing off at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday from the first and 10th tees. On Sunday, tee times will begin at 7:30 a.m. from the first and 10th tees. The 12-team tournament field includes Arizona, Arizona State, Duke, Florida, Louisiana State, Ohio State, Oregon, San Jose State, Stanford, Tennessee, Tulsa and UCLA.
LAST YEAR: Last year the Devils won the team title at the GolfWorld/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate by five strokes over Louisiana State. As a team, ASU shot rounds of 311-301-301 (913). Rounding out the top five were Arizona, Duke and New Mexico respectively. Jeanne-Marie Busuttil finished second (75-74-72--221) while teammate Jody Niemann tied for 12th. Other ASU finishes: Michaela Friberg, T24; Keri Cornelius, T27 and Tui Selvaratnam, T40.
TEEING UP FOR THE DEVILS: Assistant coach Ashley Adleta has announced the following golfers will travel to the GolfWorld/Palmetto Dunes Collegiate: Grace Park, Kellee Booth, Jeanne-Marie Busuttil, Keri Cornelius and Tui Selvaratnam.
