Voak Earns Softball All-American Honor

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State sophomore pitcher Kirsten Voak claimed her second Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-American honor in as many years, earning second-team distinction this season.

Voak, who hails from Fremont, California, posted an overall record of 30-11 with 316 strikeouts, both Arizona State single-season records. Voak also tallied a 1.16 earned-run average and held opponents to a .178 batting average.

In just over 277 innings pitched, she recorded 13 shutouts, fired one no hitter and had eight double-digit strikeouts performances, including a career-high 15 strikeouts game against Oregon.

At the plate, Voak batted .315 with 42 hits, seven doubles, three home runs, 22 runs batted in and a team-high 33 walks.
