WALNUT CREEK, Calif., -- The Pacific-10 Conference announced the 2003 All-Conference Women's Gymnastics Team which includes three Arizona State student-athletes. Ashley Kelly, Ashley Ellsberry, and Maggie Germaine earned all-league honors for the Sun Devils.
The awards mark the first All-Pac-10 honors for all three women.
The All-Conference Team consists of the top six all-around competitors, plus the top three competitors in each individual event. A gymnast's score is determined by a combination of 50 percent regional qualifying score (entire season composite) and 50 percent Pac-10 Conference Championships score.
Kelly earned All-Pac-10 honors in the all around, an event in which she holds the school record (39.875) that she set this year against Kentucky. She placed sixth in that event at the conference championships.
Ellsberry earned all-conference accolades on the beam after finishing tied for fourth at the Pac-10 meet.
Germaine earned all-conference honors on the floor, an event in which she tied for third place at the Pac-10 meet. She has recorded two perfect 10.0s on the floor this year.
