ASU Men's Swimming Defeats Brigham Young

TEMPE, Ariz.- The No. 13 Arizona State men's swimming and diving team won its second straight dual meet and its fourth overall, defeating the Brigham Young Cougars 227-116 Thursday in Provo, Utah.

The team was paced by freshman Matt Carter who recorded a pair of first-place finishes in the 1000 free (9:40.87) and the 500 free (4:38.49). For Carter it was the second time in the last three meets that he took first place in the 500 free.

Also posting first-place finishes for the Sun Devils were junior Francisco Sanchez (50 free, 20.35), sophomore Adam Wolfenberg (200 fly, 1:54.05) and senior Craig Hutchinson (100 free, 45.13).

The Devils, now 4-4 on the year, travel to Salt Lake City, Utah tomorrow for a meet versus the Utah Utes.
