Women Host Sun Devil Classic; Men Travel to Nike Sprint Classic

On The Slate: The 23rd-ranked Arizona State women's swimming team will host the Sun Devil Classic Friday, November 21-22 at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day. The 11th-ranked men's team travels to Lincoln, Nebraska to swim in the Nike Sprint Classic on November 21 and the Husker Invitational November 22-23.

Last Time Out (women): The Sun Devils recorded two upset victories on Friday, defeating 13th-ranked Florida 182-117 and 14th-ranked UCLA 180.5-116.5. On Saturday, ASU dropped a 191-115 decision to 2nd-ranked and defending national champion USC.

Last Time Out (men): 11th-ranked Arizona State jumped out to an early lead, only to see the 5th-ranked Trojans rally for a 167.5-132.5 victory.

Opponents: Women: Purdue, Virginia and Northern Arizona will participate in the Sun Devil Classic.

Men: Along with ASU, No. 13 Nebraska, Iowa, Toledo and Kenyon will compete in Lincoln.

Coaching Staff: Tim Hill (George Williams, '71) enters his 14th year with the women's team; Hill's career record at ASU is 80-40-1, 114-46-1 overall. Asher Green (Butler University, '86) begins his third season as an assistant coach for the Sun Devils. Ernie Maglischo (Ohio '60) begins his fifth year with the men's sqaud; posting a career record of 24-21 with ASU and 182-76 overall. Sean Farrell (SCSU '93) begins his second season as an assistant coach for the men's team.
