TEMPE, Ariz. (www.thesundevils.com) -- Arizona State University diving completed the third and final day of the Zone E Diving Championships Saturday at Oklahoma City Community College in Oklahoma City. During the weekend, the Sun Devils qualified three divers for the NCAA Championships.
ASU freshman Erin Hobbs (Calgary, Alberta) and junior Cassidy Farwell (Glendale, Calif.) competed on the platform for the women. Farwell and Hobbs finished 11th and 13th respectively in the event. Farwell's final score was 398.95 and Hobbs recorded a 396.85.
On the weekend, the Sun Devils recorded one female diver and two male divers for the NCAAs. Hobbs qualified for the women while senior Joona Puhakka (Helsinki, Finland) and senior Brant Bingham (Mesa, Ariz.) qualified for the men's team.
Next up, the women's NCAA Championships will take place March 16-18 in Athens, Ga.
