The Sun Devils have had some great history in the Super Bowl, and two players continued the tradition this year.

Brandon Aiyuk, a Second-Team All American for the Sun Devils in 2019, became the 54th Sun Devil to be featured in the Super Bowl. A first round draft pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2020, Aiyuk earned Second Team All-Pro honors after recording 75 catches for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns during his terrific 2023-24 campaign. His 51-yd juggling catch in the NFC Championship was instrumental in the 49ers comeback win over the Detroit Lions.

Former ASU nose tackle Mike Pennel appeared in his second Super Bowl with the Chiefs, after earning a ring with the team that he spent parts of the 2019 and 2020 seasons with. Resigned in October, 2023, Pennel earned six tackles in Super Bowl 58 and became the seventh Sun Devil to win multiple Super Bowl rings, joining elite company: Terrell Suggs (2013 Ravens, 2020 Chiefs), Darren Woodson (1993, 1994, & 1995 Cowboys), Mike Richardson (1986 Bears, 1990 49ers), Jim Jeffcoat (1993 & 1994 Cowboys), Grey Ruegamer (2002 Patriots, 2008 Giants), and Marvel Smith (2006 & 2009 Steelers).

Arizona State All-American Terrell Suggs was also part of the victorious Kansas City Chiefs after the 2019 season (Super Bowl LIV in February of 2020), giving him a pair of NFL titles after previously earning a Super Bowl ring with the Baltimore Ravens back in 2013.
