Stadium details

Sun Devil Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium features several modern amenities, excellent sightlines, and a vibrant atmosphere that embodies Sun Devil pride. It is a premier stadium in the Big 12 and one of the best collegiate stadiums in the country.

For athletes, the stadium features built-in coaches’ offices and a fully equipped training room. The turf consists of Bermuda grass, and the penalty boxes are seeded with Tiffway 419. In the winter months, it is overseeded with perennial ryegrass.

For fans, there is a concession stand, a team shop, a press area, and a home team locker room. More excitingly, there is a grandstand that creates an exciting atmosphere due to its proximity to the field. The stands are raised so that the first row sits eight feet over the field and is 20 feet from the sideline. Seats are accessible by either ramps or stairwells.

Stadium history and highlights

On September 4, 2000, ASU entered the rankings for the first time in program history as the No. 19 team in the nation. The ranking came from a 4-0 victory over No. 21 Michigan at home.

Later that month, the Sun Devils went on to set a program record for goals in a game in their 7-0 defeat of Pittsburgh and then tied their scoring record with another 7-0 defeat, this time against Eastern Michigan.

On March 3, 2018, Sun Devil Lacrosse takes down Presbyterian, 23-5, at Sun Devil Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium in the first-ever home game in program history. The 23 goals represent the highest single-game total in ASU's inaugural season.

On February 15, 2025, Sun Devil Lacrosse’s 21-1 statement win over Detroit Mercy was one for the record books. The one goal allowed to UDM marked the fewest goals allowed in a game in program history, and the win ties a program-best start to a season at 3-0.

Sun Devil Soccer has hosted the Mexican National Soccer Team twice, once in 2006 and again in 2008.
