Tutoring/Mentoring
Tutoring
The tutoring program utilizes university academic support services (Student Success Services, the Math Tutoring Center, and the Writing Center).Tutorial assistance is also provided to student-athletes as needed at the Carson Student-Athlete Center. Student-athletes may request tutoring beginning the first day of the semester through finals. Tutors, as well as student-athletes are accountable for upholding the principles of academic integrity and adhering to all NCAA rules and regulations. Please see your academic coach to complete the tutor request application.
Mentoring
Academic mentors work with students who may require more focused support during their first year at ASU. Mentors teach effective time management, communication, academic accountability, course management, and learning skills.
Study Hall
Structured study programs provide a productivity-oriented learning environment that focuses on study objectives and appropriate study skills as student-athletes work on course assignments. At the beginning of each session, student-athletes set specific, measurable study objectives that can be completed within the session. Sessions are scheduled by team. Please see your academic coach for your study times.
Computer Lab
Computing services provide students with access to Microsoft Office, Internet, and on-line library resources. Wireless connection is available in the CSAC building as well as on campus. The computer lab houses 48 computers. Student-athletes are required to check in with a computer lab monitor with their Sun Card. All users must adhere to lab rules and the ASU student Code of Conduct. Generally, Computer Lab hours are Monday-Thursday 7:45am-9:00pm, Friday 7:45am-5:00pm, and Sunday 2:00pm- 9:00pm.
