Joe Brennan, an industry leader and veteran agent in Major League Baseball and sports business, returned to Arizona State University as Executive Director of Sports Performance in summer of 2026. Working alongside Athletics Director Graham Rossini and the executive leadership team, Joe helps lead the strategic direction, competitive excellence, and high-performance culture across all Sun Devil athletic programs.
Having worked closely with front office executives, head coaches, athletes and administrators, Joe brought extensive experience in college and professional sports. He has built a solid reputation for identifying top athletic talent, guiding athlete development, negotiating contracts and maximizing brand and marketing opportunities with an athlete-first approach.
An MLB-certified agent, Joe began his career with Steinberg & Moorad (later The Legacy Agency), representing some of Major League Baseball’s biggest stars. Most recently, he has served as the President of Truth Sports, a company he helped establish in 2019. His leadership philosophy is rooted in clear communication, accountability, hard work, and respect—principles that have consistently driven successful outcomes throughout his career.
Prior to his time as an agent, Joe served on Coach Pat Murphy’s Sun Devil Baseball staff from 1996 to 2001. He later graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in broadcasting from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Joe and his wife, Sage, reside in Phoenix with their two sons, Joseph and Samuel.
