Giuliana Nicosia

Giuliana Nicosia serves as the Director for ASU Athletics Special Projects and Advancement within Sun Devil Athletics at Arizona State University. In this role, she works under the direct leadership of Deputy Athletic Director Lisa Young to foster operational excellence and strategic advancement.

Giuliana supports the day-to-day operations of Athletic Director Graham Rossini and Deputy Athletic Director Lisa Young, while focusing on strategic operational needs and key functions of Sun Devil Athletics leadership to drive alignment, execution, and a high level of polish across priority initiatives.

She also leads high-level event coordination efforts that are strategic to the representation of both the Athletic Director and Deputy Athletic Director. Giuliana leads special projects that span planning, execution, and cross-functional coordination tied to key departmental priorities.

Her work spans cross-departmental collaboration, working closely with Brand and Marketing, Ticketing and Sales, and Corporate Partnerships, among other departments and coaching leadership, to coordinate efforts that enhance revenue generation, fan engagement, and overall organizational impact. Giuliana also leads oversight of Sun Devil Traditions, supporting its growth and evolution to strengthen connection and pride across the Sun Devil community.

 

With nearly ten years of experience in higher education, Giuliana previously served as a Project Manager in ASU’s Office of the Chief Operating Officer, where she supported Dr. Chris Howard, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In that role, she managed high-priority initiatives, coordinated distinguished visitors exploring institutional partnerships, and built meaningful connection points across the university. 

She later supported and guided students at Grand Canyon University through their educational, financial, and academic journeys from freshman year through graduation.

Giuliana earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science from Arizona State University and her Master of Science in Leadership from Grand Canyon University.

Her ability to cultivate relationships and drive organizational success remains a hallmark of her professional career.
