Erika Vichcales joined the Athletics Department in 2020. She served as the athletic trainer for the Men’s and Women’s Swimming for the 2020-2021 season and now serves as the athletic trainer from the water polo team. Prior to arriving in Tempe, Erika spent time working with the University of Michigan and Wingate University.
Born and raised in Howell, Michigan, Erika completed her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Michigan Technological Institute in 2016. She then went on to earn her Master of Athletic Training from the University of Montana in 2018.
Erika is a certified and licensed athletic trainer and is a professional member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association. She is also certified in Graston Technique M1.
In her free time, she loves to spend time outdoors hiking, camping and paddle boarding with her dogs and boyfriend. She loves to lift weights, meditate, read, and learning about astrology and holistic health.
