Board certified in family medicine and sports medicine, Shanyn C. Lancaster, MD, provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages. As a former Big Ten gymnast and after nearly 20 years in the sport, she has special interest in treating athletes of every age and sport level but really enjoys working with the young adult population and educating patients about their problems.
Dr. Lancaster completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine through Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan after training at the Columbia-St. Mary’s family medicine residency program in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan and attended the University of Minnesota, where she majored in finance and pre-medicine.
Dr. Lancaster has extensive sports experience, including the PGA Championships, Final Four and NCAA tournaments, Detroit Tigers baseball organization, multiple college and high school sports, including team physician for Marquette University varsity athletics, and other dance organizations. Her background and interests make her a perfect fit as a team doctor for the Arizona State University Sun Devils and for the ASU population as a whole.
