Brennan Marion

TitleQuality Control

Brennan Marion enters his first season as a quality control coach for Sun Devil Football. Marion was a record-setting wide receiver at Tulsa and was signed as undrafted free agent by the Miami Dolphins in 2009. He comes to ASU with four years of high school coaching experience.

Marion starred at Tulsa for two seasons in 2007 and 2008 as he collected back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons en route to 2008 First-Team All-Conference USA honors. He set the single season NCAA FBS single-season yards-per-catch record at 31.9 yards and he finished as the NCAA career leader at 28.7 yards-per-catch. He played under current ASU head coach Todd Graham and offensive Mike Norvell at Tulsa, and won the team’s Howard Twilley award for the most outstanding receiver in consecutive seasons.

Marion was the head coach of Saint Patrick Saint Vincent in Vallejo, Calif., in 2013. He led the Bruins to a berth in the playoffs after a 1-9 record in the year prior to his arrival. Marion resigned after one season and moved to Pennsylvania, where he was raised, to take another head coaching position.

Marion was the head coach of the Waynesboro, Pa., Indians in 2014 and led the Indians to their first winning season and division title in 22 years. The Indians also won Team of the Year, as selected by WHAG TV, as they went from 0-10 to Division champions under Marion's control. Marion earned Coach of the Year recognition from The Chambersburg Public Opinion and WHAG TV in 2014.

Marion is from Greensburg, Pa., and was a four-year letterwinner in football, basketball and track at Greensburg High School.
